CASPIA Analytical Center hosted an expert meeting featuring Sándor Seremet, Senior Research Fellow at the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA).

The event focused on key issues shaping the contemporary regional and global agenda, including the evolving geopolitics of the South Caucasus and Central Asia, the development of the Middle Corridor, and the future of transit and logistics routes across Eurasia. Particular attention was also given to the current state of Azerbaijan–Hungary relations.

The meeting was held in an interactive discussion format, enabling a dynamic exchange of views among participants on the transformation of the regional security architecture, increasing economic interconnectedness, and the growing role of middle powers in an emerging multipolar international system.

A dedicated segment of the discussion addressed strategic infrastructure, energy cooperation, and opportunities for expanding practical collaboration across the broader Eurasian space.

The discussion also underscored the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor, highlighting Hungary’s growing interest in this route as a key element of East–West connectivity. Participants noted that the corridor not only enhances trade efficiency but also contributes to the broader geopolitical relevance of transit countries, including Azerbaijan.

The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of the importance of sustained expert dialogue and the development of joint analytical and practical initiatives aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and addressing common strategic challenges.
