Director of the CASPIA Center Orkhan Yolchuyev appeared live on Hír TV, where he discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary. During the broadcast, Yolchuyev emphasized the dynamic development of relations between Baku and Budapest across a wide range of sectors, including politics, economy, energy, and regional connectivity.

Particular attention during the interview was devoted to energy cooperation between the two countries. According to Yolchuyev, Azerbaijan is playing an increasingly important role in Europe’s energy security architecture, while Hungary views cooperation with Baku as one of the strategic priorities of its foreign economic policy. He noted that energy partnership has become a solid foundation for long-term bilateral cooperation.

Another major topic of discussion was logistics and transport connectivity between Europe and Asia. Yolchuyev highlighted the strong potential for integrating the Middle Corridor with the Via Carpatia project — a major highway under construction in Central and Southern Europe connecting Klaipėda to Thessaloniki. He stated that such integration could become a major logistical driver for Europe, enhance regional transit capacity, and open new markets and economic opportunities for Hungary.

The Director of the CASPIA Center also addressed the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He noted the positive dynamics in the ongoing negotiations and stressed the importance of sustainable peace and regional cooperation for the future of the South Caucasus. According to Yolchuyev, regional stability would create new opportunities for economic development, transport integration, and broader international cooperation.
