Orkhan Yolchuyеv, Director of the CASPIA Analytical Center, spoke about the significance of the new freight locomotives for Azerbaijan.

According to Orkhan Yolchuyev, the introduction of the new freight locomotives into operation will expand the maneuvering capabilities of Azerbaijan Railways and create conditions for more efficient and uninterrupted freight transportation.

He noted that for big businesses, the key consideration in freight transportation is not simply choosing the cheapest route. Companies primarily look for routes that are stable, reliable, and predictable.

Orkhan Yolchuyev stated that Azerbaijan’s ongoing transport and logistics projects, including the delivery of seven new freight locomotives, contribute to strengthening the country’s regional transit capabilities. According to him, these projects will further enhance Azerbaijan’s role in international freight transportation as a transit country and logistics hub.
