A delegation from the CASPIA Analytical Center visited Israel as part of a working visit organized at the invitation of Sharaka, an organization dedicated to promoting warm peace and people-to-people normalization between Israel and the broader MENA region, as well as fostering non-governmental cooperation and knowledge exchange, particularly among younger generations.

The Azerbaijani delegation included CASPIA Co-Founder and Deputy Director Miri Bagirov and CASPIA international relations analyst and expert Nargiz Mammadova. This year, Sharaka welcomed a joint group of participants from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan as part of its educational and professional exchange program.

During the visit, the CASPIA representatives held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, where they discussed the current state and future prospects of Azerbaijan–Israel relations, as well as broader regional developments. The delegation met with Liat Wexelman, Head of the Euro-Asia and West Balkans Bureau, and exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, regional security and the evolving geopolitical environment.

The program also included a visit to the Misgav Institute for National Security and Zionist Strategy, where participants took part in a panel discussion focusing on Israel's foreign policy and the development of bilateral relations between Israel and Azerbaijan.

During the discussion, CASPIA analyst Nargiz Mammadova presented an overview of Azerbaijan's Jewish community and highlighted the country's long-standing traditions of multiculturalism, religious tolerance and interfaith coexistence. She emphasized the role of these principles in Azerbaijan's social and cultural landscape and their contribution to people-to-people relations between Azerbaijan and Israel.

The participants also visited Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, where they learned about the history and legacy of the Holocaust and the importance of preserving historical memory.

As part of the program, the delegation visited Israel's artificial intelligence and technology ecosystem, gaining insights into the country's innovation sector and its role in the development of emerging technologies.

The working visit also provided participants with an opportunity to engage with experts, researchers and representatives of civil society and explore Israel's political, technological and cultural environment.
