Internship

We invite senior undergraduate students majoring in International Relations, Political Science, and History, as well as master’s and doctoral students, to apply for an internship at the CASPIA. The internship will be of particular interest to those studying international relations, global economics, regional studies, Oriental studies, and history.

The internship offers young analysts an opportunity for direct involvement in analytical work and in covering key developments in international politics. The program enables early career researchers from higher education institutions to realize their academic and analytical potential.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ability to write short analytical notes and participation in the Center’s research, educational, publishing, and information projects.

Priority areas:

  • Political and economic aspects of conflicts in the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan’s relations with post Soviet states, geopolitical processes in Central Asia, and the current situation in Eastern European countries, particularly Ukraine, Moldova, and Belarus.

  • Current topics in the history and ethnography of peoples in the post Soviet space.

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in research in international relations, history, and ethnography;

  • Graduate or final year undergraduate student, master’s or doctoral student in international relations, regional studies, Oriental studies, journalism, modern history, or political science;

  • Fluency in Azerbaijani and Russian;

  • Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage;

  • Strong communication skills;

  • Responsibility and attention to detail;

  • Willingness to work in an intensive schedule.
